1947 PANDAW

Rv Pandaw was built in Scotland on the Clyde by the famous ships builder Yarrow & Co in 1947 and arrived in Myanmar (then Burma) in1950. Now the ship and her 16 cabins are elegantly outfitted and refurbished with hardwoods and brass in a luxurious style and she sails the scenic waters of the Irrawaddy and upper Chindwin Rivers, one of the last of a great breed of vessels that used to ply Myanmar's legendary rivers.

 

AMARA RIVER CRUISE

The Amara River Cruise is a traditional Myanmar riverboat traveling along the Ayarwady and Chindwin River. It measures 30 meters / 100 feet in length by 8 meters / 24 feet in width. With a shallow draft of 1 meter/ 3 feet and two Hino engines. It can go as far north as Bamo all year round. On board you find a total of seven Cabins, six standard double cabins and one deluxe, each with its own bathroom with hot and cold shower. Communal areas include dining room, bar and canopied sundeck.

 

AYRAVATA RIVER CRUISE

Built in Scotland in 1947, the Pandaw is the same design as the original Irrawaddy Flotilla Company steamers that coped so well with the difficult conditions of shallow water in the Irrawaddy. The Pandaw sails between the ancient capitals of Bagan and Mandalay, offering a tranquil and stimulating Myanmar experience. The Pandaw is 150 feet long and was powered by a stern paddle, now replaced by modern engines.

 

MALIKHA RIVER CRUISE

The Malikha a quick (about 6 hours) and modern transport between Bagan and Mandalay (and v.v.) and is the fastest way to go on the river.
